Louise DeChesser, R.N., CNOR, MS
Director of Clinical Services

 

has over 35 years of healthcare leadership experience. Prior to joining HVP, Lou served as a Director of Surgical Services for large New England Hospital, as president of her own Surgery Center Consulting Company and in various Regional Operational and Administrator positions in Surgery Centers throughout the Northeast. Lou is a licensed Surveyor for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and has worked with and consulted for Surgery Centers throughout the United States.

Lou has been successful providing leadership to Administrators, Physician & Hospital owners, senior administrative staff, and boards of directors regarding key strategic planning, surgery center development, clinical, operational management and financial initiatives.  Lou has authored or co-authored numerous publications regarding patient safety and quality initiatives for such publications as Outpatient Surgery Magazine, The International Journal of Day Surgery and the American Academy of Pediatrics.  From 1996 – 2000, Lou served on the White House Advance Team gaining world-wide international travel and cultural experiences.  In addition to her HVP corporate responsibilities, Lou currently serves as HVP’s Administrator for the West Hartford Surgery Center in West Hartford, CT.
